[DataSpider Servista] Can I output application logs to other servers?

I want to output application logs to a directory of a shared server that is being monitored. Is it possible to output the log to another server that is not a server in which the DataSpiderServer is installed?

Answer

It is possible by specifying a file path to another server in the output destination file path set in [Application log output destination setting] of [Control panel].

Please specify the other server by using Universal Naming Convention (UNC) notation (\\ ServerName \ xxx \ FileName) to the "File Path" displayed when "rotation file" or "schedule file" is selected for the log output type in [Application log output destination setting] of [Control panel] and [Create new application log output destination].
*You can also enter the file path directly.

*When starting DataSpiderServer from the Windows service, to specify a directory of a network drive, the Windows service login account must specify a user with permissions that can browse and write the directory of the network drive. In addition, after restarting the DataSpiderServer, it is necessary to specify the output destination file path by UNC name.
