[DataSpider Servista] Even if Repository DB is created in SQL Server 2005, it is getting started without Repository DB

If you start DataSpiderServer after creating Repository DB in SQL Server 2005, it is getting started without Repository DB. When server.log is confirmed, it is displayed that "Connection to |WARN|ds.kernel.mgr.db| database is failed. DataSpider will be started without Repository DB". Explain the cause and the counter measure?

Answer

In SQL Server 2005 side, when the port number used for the communication has not been fixed, you cannot access DataSpiderServer and hence, DataSpider is started without Repository DB.
 
In order to make the DataSpiderServer accessible, fix the port number of SQL Server 2005 as "1433".
