[DataSpider Servista] Is it possible to change such that the Repository DB is used even after the installation?

Is it possible to change such that the Repository DB is used even after the installation?

Answer

Yes, you can change from [Repository DB] of [Control Panel]. However, note that you cannot change [With Repository DB] to [Without Repository DB].
 
Refer the following procedure to migrate from Without Repository DB to With Repository DB state.
 
■ Procedure
  1. Start DataSpiderServer and DataSpider Studio.
  2. In Studio go to Control Panel - [DataSpiderServer Settings] - [Server Migration] tab and click [Export Settings] button and export the settings upon selecting all the settings you want to migrate.
*In versions prior to 2.4, mount settings has not been included in the server migration function scope. In this case, make a separate copy of the configuration details.
  1. Refer to "7. Preparations of Repository DB" of "DataSpider Servista 3.1 Installation Guide" and perform the preparations for Repository DB.
  2. In Studio go to Control Panel - [Repository DB Management] - [Connection Information] tab and click [Connection Settings Wizard] button and configure Repository DB with the Repository DB Connection Settings Wizard.
  3. Once the configuration is done, click [Connection Test] button and check whether the connection test succeeds.
  4. Stop DataSpiderServer and DataSpider Studio.
  5. Start DataSpiderServer and DataSpider Studio.
  6. Check whether the screen title of the start page of Studio has become "With Repository DB".
  7. In Studio go to Control Panel - [DataSpiderServer Settings] - [Server Migration] tab and click [Import Settings] button and import the settings that is exported in step 2.
  8. Stop DataSpiderServer and DataSpider Studio.
  9. Start DataSpiderServer and DataSpider Studio.
  10. Check whether all the imported settings are available.
* In versions prior to 2.4, if the mount settings are not included in the server migration function scope, set it manually.
