It is possible to fix the communication port in between DataSpider server and DataSpider client.
Set the optional port number in "ds.rmi.port" of the setting file ${dataspider.home}/server/conf/system.properties.
Refer to online help "Property Reference" for details. Install the DataSpider Server in the same medium or install the DataSpider Client in the network environment and then you can also operate the DataSpider client from outside with the remote desktop tool outside the FireWall.
