Points to be noted
 
Due to installation of security software, there can be outbreak of communication errors if the communication of the port that has been in use by DataSpiderServer, is restricted.
 
Hence, please carry out the settings in such a way that the communication is allowed for the ports that are necessary for communication in DataSpider.
The ports necessary for the communication in DataSpider will be the below.
 
 
1. Port used between DataSpiderServer(server) and DataSpider Studio(client)
 
DataSpider carry out the communication in 2 below ways between servers and clients. Kindly check the settings.
 
  1. Communication during log-in
The tab [Port] under [Control Panel]-[DataSpiderServer Information] can be used to check the ports that are being used.
 
  1. Communication when various functions are used after log-in.

* Send/receive with the above specified host name and port. If settings have not yet been carried out then ports are randomly specified. Hence, for blocking the communication in port other than the specific port, the above-mentioned settings should be carried out without fail.
 
* For the communication from client to the server, carry out the transmission towards ports specified on server side.
 
* For the communication from server to the client, carry out the transmission towards ports specified on client side.
 
 
2. Ports used by other applications (RDB, notes etc.,) and being connected with DataSpider.
