[DataSpider Servista] When I read an Excel file by DataSpider Servista, I did not get an expected result.

When I read an Excel file created by a tool other than Excel, such as export from Access, an expected result was not obtained. Please explain the cause and a way to resolve this problem.

Answer

■Specification
 
Excel files that can be handled by the Excel adapter are supported versions of Excel or the excel files that are created by DataSpider Servista.
 
*Please refer to the operating environment of "Reference Information" for the supported Excel.
 
Please note that Excel files created with tools other than the above, such as Access, are not supported.
 
■Workaround
 
Please make sure to have the Excel adapter read the target file after opening and saving it using the supported version of Excel.
 
If problems occur even if the Excel adapter reads the Excel files that were opened and saved with the Excel, please collect the following information and contact your support center.
 
■Information Required for Investigation
  • A problem you are experiencing
 An error occurred; the data cannot be read correctly, etc.
  • Excel files in which the error occurs
  • Log files downloaded from such as XML logs or My Logs of when the error occurred
