When I connect to DataSpiderServer running in a Linux environment from Studio for Web, a specification cannot be output. But if I connect from Studio for Desktop, I can output it.

When I connect from the Studio for Desktop, the following error message appears:

[WARN] CommonClassLoader load failed.: java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException
Exception in thread "Thread-1" java.awt.AWTError: Can't connect to X11 window server using ':0.0' as the value of the DISPLAY variable.

Answer

If you want to output a specification from Studio for Web on a Linux environment, you need to have X Window System running.
In the past cases, when the X Window System was not running on Linux, we confirmed that the message related to the same DISPLAY environment variable was output.

Please refer to the DataSpider Servista Help below for more information on the above cases:
・[DataSpider Studio for Web]-[What is DataSpider Studio for Web]
  ---
If the DataSpiderServer operating system is Linux, you need to start the X Window System on Linux when generating project/script specifications.
  ---

Please check whether a connection is possible such as from a user that started X Window System and/or DataSpiderServer to the X process or the DISPLAY environment variable ":0.0".

■Reference Information
In the past cases, it was reported that the specification output failed also when the RMI communication between DataSpiderServer and DocumentGenerator failed.
In such a case, please specify "127.0.0.1" for "java.rmi.server.hostname" in $ DATASPIDER_HOME/server/conf/system.properties and check if any communication error occurs when outputting the specification.
