[DataSpider Servista] Explain how to migrate to a different package
In DataSpider Servista, there are multiple package products such as Server Package (Advanced Server Package, Basic Server Package), Select etc. Explain about the migration method for using a package different from the one that has been used till now.

■Specification Description
The necessary procedure varies depending on the product version or package. Refer to the following for more details.
■Procedures
- When migrating between the Server Packages by using version 3.1 onwards
From Advanced Server Package to Basic Server Package, or from Basic Server Package to Advanced Server Package, swap the license files (license.lic). Change procedure is as given below.
(1) Stop the service and the client
Stop DataSpiderServer and various client applications.
(2) Swapping license files
Save the license file available in $DATASPIDER_HOME/server/lic and place the license file of the package you want to switch to.
(3) Start the service and the client
Start DataSpiderServer and DataSpider Studio.
(4) Confirmation of swapping the license files
Check whether "Package Type" is changed in [DataSpiderServer Settings]-[License Information] tab in the control panel of Studio.
- When migrating between Server Package and Select by using version 3.1 onwards
When migrating from Select to Advanced Server Package or Basic Server Package, or from Basic Server Package or Advanced Server Package to Select, apart from swapping the license files, take the back-up of the current environment settings and install the new environment and then move the settings.
Refer to upgrade guide of the corresponding version for the back-up of settings or migration procedure.
- When using versions prior to 3.0
As a rule, new product is not shipped for the products for which the maintenance support has expired.
Individual guidance is required to support this special situation. Raise your queries from support site. Inconvenience is regretted.
■Supplement
The modules installed between Advanced Server Package and Basic Server Package as well as the license agreement is same from 3.1 onwards.
However, Select has a module and license agreement that is different from Advanced Server Package and Basic Server Package. So, apart from swapping the license files, you also need to change the modules.
