[DataSpider Servista] Checklist for when the Icon (Component) Does Not Appear

We have gathered checkpoints and measures for when the icon (component) does not appear.
 
You will need license, library, and adapter modules for the icon (component) to appear. Therefore, if one of the modules mentioned above is not set, the icon (component) will not appear.

1. License

Please check the license currently in use to see whether an adapter that is not appearing is included or not from the License Information tab in [Control Panel]-[DataSpiderServer Settings].

If not, please take the following method to troubleshoot:

Use a license that includes the adapter.
 

2. Installing a Library or Driver

Please check if the library or driver is installed in a directory of adapter that is not appearing.

For information regarding a directory where the library or driver is installed, please check the "Installing Library" that exists in the help for each adapter.

If not installed, please take the following method to troubleshoot:

Install the library or driver according to the Help.

 
3. Installing an Adapter

*Please check the following only if the version you are using is 3.0 or earlier versions.

Please check whether an adapter that is not appearing is installed or not from the "Adapter Module" tab in [Control Panel]-[Version Information].

*If the corresponding module is unknown, please copy and paste this information, and send it to the Support Center.

Workaround:
Please install the adapter. Please refer to FAQ No. 24470 for detailed method: 
 
 
 
In order for the adapter to appear in the global resource or designer, you must meet the following requirements:

1. A license that includes the adapter is set
2. If a library or driver is required, it is properly installed
3. Adapter module is installed


From the above, it is necessary to verify these three points.

Also, for 3.0 or later versions, installation specification has changed so all adapter modules are installed when installing. Therefore, you do not need to check whether the adapter module is installed or not for 3.0 or later versions.

 
 
If the adapter still does not appear even if all of the license, driver, and adapter modules are properly installed, a problem may be occurring at the DataSpiderServer startup.

Check the situation and environment of the program startup, and please inquire at the Support Center.

 
(1) Settings you changed right before the problem started to occur

Because the information you were able to see is not available anymore, one of the settings you changed might be the reason.

Please check whether there is any setting you changed right before the problem started to occur.

 
(2) Detailed log of when starting DataSpiderServer

Export a detailed log of when starting DataSpiderServer and check whether a problem is occurring at the time of startup.

Take the following steps to configure the log output settings to obtain the log.

Procedure
1. Stop DataSpider Server
 Stop DataSpiderServer before changing the settings.

2. Change the log output settings
 Specify a value (${DEBUG}) to export the most detailed log at the following settings file and key to obtain a detailed log.

・Settings File
 $DATASPIDER_HOME/server/conf/dslog.properties

・Settings Key and Settings
 dslog=${DEBUG}

3.  Start DataSpiderServer
 To reflect the change you made, start DataSpiderServer .

4. Obtain the log
 Obtain the following log and send it to the Support Center.
 $DATASPIDER_HOME/server/logs/server.log
 $DATASPIDER_HOME/server/logs/server.log.<Half-width Alphanumeric>
