I encounter errors when downloading mylog in text format and during export function when I installed Windows x64 version of DataSpider on Windows 7, WIndows Server 2008 R2.
Please provide me with a reason why this is happening.

Answer

This is occuring due to the combination of Java and OS used by DataSpider.

In the case of DataSpider version 2.4.X, Windows 7 x64/Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 development client supports Windows 7 x86/Windows Server 2008 R2 x86 installer.

Please uninstall the current version and reinstall Windows 7 x89/Windows Server 2008 R2 x86.

The read me instruction included with the media also mentions the following:

[Regarding the installation of Windos 7 x64/ Windows Server 2008 R2 x64]

If you intend to install it on the following platforms as a standalone or as a development client, then please use the x86 installer instead.
(By doing this, DataSpider Servista will execute as a 32bit application.)

- Microsoft Windows 7 Professional x64
- Microsoft Windows 7 Enterprise x64
- Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate x64
- Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard x64
- Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise x64
- Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter x64

For version release newer than 3.0, this issue has been resolved and you will be able to use the x64 installer without any issues.
